Amma's Blessings

It was the time, when I was teaching in the Adi Parasakthi Engineering College (Mel Maruvathur). There was a storm raging in my family. My second sister had passed away due to an illness. During December, 2000, my elder sister had to face a lot of problems in her married life and had come back to Chennai. She had been suffering from severe headache and was admitted in a hospital from 29th December to January 2nd, 2001.

We had admitted my sister in a famous hospital in Chennai. On January 2nd, 2001, in the morning, she lost her memory. The doctors told us to have faith only in God. She was taken to the I.C.U (Intensive Care Unit). My mother and I went to sit in the room allotted to the patient’s relatives. There were no relatives there, besides us. We prayed to Amma and began to say Moola Manthiram repeatedly. As we entered the room, we were surprised to see that our Amma’s photo had been kept there! There was no other photo. Thinking about my sister, my mother and I began to pray, gazing at Amma’s feet. We knew only the Moola Manthiram and hence, began to say it repeatedly.

The next morning, we were told that my sister had regained her memory and she was improving. I had promised myself that, if my prayer was fulfilled, I would pay `1,000/- for Annadaanam (feeding the poor) and write a letter to Sakthi Olhi.

Her vision, alone, had reduced. The doctors advised her to continue the medicine for a year. By the end of one year, there was a lot of improvement in her vision. Meanwhile, all of us went to Mel Maruvathur, paid money for Annadaanam, and lit a lemon lamp.

Whenever I can, I go to Mel Maruvathur. Most of our difficulties have gone away and problems have been solved. We feel peace in our lives as well. The reason for all these improvements is Amma alone! Our life itself is an example of the fact that Amma will never let anyone down, who has faith in Her.

In Developing A Spiritual Toolset

By practising the teachings of the Avatars, we are able to preserve and promote a spiritual toolset, which we know to be vital in life in any world.

For The Soul

The vedic prayers of the Avatars, written by Their divine guidance and blessings, are wonderful catalysts to connect with our true selves. They are essential steps and guides on our journey backwards.

Practise To Win

Chant, do, detach. The 'DO' is to be found in sadhana, also glibly called spiritual practice. The toughest step in the beginning, because rarely does one fancy doing, here are some nice ways to DO.

Look Into 'I'

And see the real 'I'. Question, evaluate, and transform. Be good, do good, see good, and all that wonderful, fluffy goodness. The final step in being divine, or as close as you can make it.
