Sakthi Olhi, 2006 devotees' experiences translated from Tamil into English.

The 'Weekly Experience' features a devotees' experience chosen from our repository of translated experiences. This experience will feature across all the categories on Angel Grove Studio and 'My Mother' digital magazine. In 1984, my marriage took place. Although I gave birth to two children, both of them died. After that, I had miscarriages. The doctors said that, I wouldn't become a mother. Hearing this, I was very sad. When I was in the hospital, a Sakthi from the Adi Parasakthi Mandram at Ooti came to see me. I told him about my condition. This Sakthi, later on, took me to…

Mel Podavur is a village in the Kanchipuram district. By Amma’s blessings, we have a Mandram in this village. On every Friday, we perform the weekly pooja from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. As usual, the weekly pooja was being performed on that Friday. Sakthi Dayalan and Sakthi Venkatesan came to the Mandram in a hurry. They had an important work in Chennai. They had to carry rice in a lorry, for their relatives. Hence, they were in a hurry to reach Kanchipuram. They did everything in a hurry. They prayed to Amma and left for Kanchipuram. While they started…
In my family, my husband, my son, and I – all of us are devotees of Amma. I would like to share my experience with you. I had gone to Tanjavoor to attend a relative’s wedding. I wasn’t feeling hungry. So, I couldn’t eat well. I requested my relatives to give me only milk. I was feeling very tired and my body was aching. I came back to my relative’s house soon. I slept for a while and got up. When I went to the bathroom, I felt sick. I vomited twice and both of them were blood! All at…
I live in Bhavani, in Eerod district. I attend the weekly pooja at our Vazhipaatu Mandram, on every Tuesday, and do service there. Four months ago, I had gone to attend a wedding. After coming back, I had kept my gold chain somewhere, but couldn’t find it. Again, after two months, I wanted to attend another wedding. I wanted to wear the chain, but I couldn’t tell anyone that it was missing for fear that they would scold me. On the Tamil New Year day, I saw our Amma’s programme on Vijay TV. While watching the programme, looking at Amma…
In 1983, some people did black magic and it had the desired effect on me. We couldn’t live in our own house. We didn’t have money to buy clothes, food, and what we really needed. I had to borrow money from others and the debt was increasing. As a result, we had to move to a rented house. By Amma’s blessings, we were able to go to Mel Maruvathur on nine Full Moon days. We slept in the Temple. On each Full Moon night, I would see Amma in my dream and Amma would talk to me! The ninth Full…
It was my daughter’s first wedding anniversary on 24th January, 2000. I went to see her in Tanjavur and started back by bus the same night. While I was sitting on my seat, I began to say Adigalaar Amma’s Potri. Soon, I fell asleep. I had a wonderful dream. The Earth was shaking, because of an earthquake. It seemed that, If we walked, we would fall down. Somehow, I was walking. Soon, I saw a small hut, thatched with coconut palm leaves. I went there. In that hut, there was a small platform made of mud. On that platform, the…

In Developing A Spiritual Toolset

By practising the teachings of the Avatars, we are able to preserve and promote a spiritual toolset, which we know to be vital in life in any world.

For The Soul

The vedic prayers of the Avatars, written by Their divine guidance and blessings, are wonderful catalysts to connect with our true selves. They are essential steps and guides on our journey backwards.

Practise To Win

Chant, do, detach. The 'DO' is to be found in sadhana, also glibly called spiritual practice. The toughest step in the beginning, because rarely does one fancy doing, here are some nice ways to DO.

Look Into 'I'

And see the real 'I'. Question, evaluate, and transform. Be good, do good, see good, and all that wonderful, fluffy goodness. The final step in being divine, or as close as you can make it.
